Tim Kirkby has directed films and television programmes with some
of the UK’s biggest comedy stars, including Peter Serafinowicz, Harry Enfield, Simon Pegg, Miranda Hart, Kevin Bishop,
Mark Heap, Russell Brand, Olivia Colman and David Mitchell.
Tim’s director credits include two series of the critically acclaimed LOOK AROUND YOU - winner of The
Rose D’Or, nominated for Best New TV Comedy at
THE BRITISH COMEDY AWARDS and a BAFTA nomination
for best comedy in the same year.
He has also recently directed
a new comedy pilot, WHITES for the BBC. Other shows he
has directed include KOMBAT OPERA, IT'S ADAM AND SHELLEY, SHIT CLUB, THE SCUM ALSO RISES and THIS IS GENIUS.
In the world of commercials, Tim’s directing work includes ads for Nintendo, Playstation, O2, Christian
Aid, Remington, 118 118 amongst others, and wrote and directed the biggest and most watched campaign of 2005 - the Trails
for The Ashes 2005 for Channel 4, (which won several awards in UK PROMAX). He has also worked with several agencies including
TBWA, JWT, AMV, Mother and Euro RSCG London and picked up a GOLDEN LION in Cannes 2007 with “Warnie” another cricket-based
campaign for the Ashes down under.
Tim is currently in production with STEWART LEE on his new comedy series for BBC 2 and a
feature project PUMPING written by Paul Simper.
